Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. Fantastic little piece of kit! Managed to bring some very unruly hedges back under control!
This does what it is billed to do. It has made hedge cutting much easier especially the taller hedges where I no longer have to stand precariously on a tall ladder stretching out as far as I can, so it is far safer. The cutter blades cut through all but the very toughest branches. I was surprised how well it worked given the fairly small battery pack, which lasted long enough to do the work - my arms gave out first! At first the product seemed a bit flimsy in its build, but it dealt with everything. It is easy to store as it breaks down to two reasonable sized pieces.
It is heavier and more cumbersome than the flymo it replaces.Battery at 18volt is also a little disappointing as it means none of my 36 volt batteries are comparable -I have a B & d strimmer,hedgetrimmer chainsaw and blower vac so I do like Black and decker cordless products.Build quality is good but I wish the pole was adjustable.However it does the job-would I buy it again? yes I think so
